Partial Closure of B867 Parking: Upgrades Underway for a Greener, More Sustainable Space
Closure of part of the parking area around building 867 is planned from the 18th May 2026 until the 4th September 2026 while we work on essential upgrades. The work, which will proceed in three phases to minimise disruption, will add over 150 spaces and transform the parking area into a more sustainable and green space.
The upgrades will replace the existing parking with grasscrete surfaces, which improve drainage, reduce runoff, and support local biodiversity. Once complete, the area will not only increase the number of parking spaces but also align with the eco-friendly design of the parking around buildings 864 and 865.
What to Expect
- Phased Closures: To ensure parking remains available, the work will be carried out in phases, with only a portion of the parking area closed at any given time.
- Timeline: The works are planned to be completed in January 2027, with each phase lasting approximately 2 months.
- Temporary Measures: Clear signage will be in place directing traffic, cyclists and pedestrians around the closed areas to ensure the safety of everyone on the Prévessin site.

The phase 1 area will be closed from the 18th May 2026 until the 4th September 2026. Phases 2 and 3 will follow, with completion of all phases expected in January 2027.
We recognise that this closure adds to the ongoing challenges for everyone working on the Prévessin site, from road closures and construction noise to increased traffic. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work to improve the site’s infrastructure. Your feedback is important to us—please reach out with any complaints, problems, or suggestions. We are actively pursuing both temporary solutions to ease the current disruptions and accelerating the permanent improvements to complete the construction as quickly as possible.
